George Joseph and Mini George were the parents of Miya, who was born as Gimi George in 1992 in Maharashtra. At the age of 4, her family moved to Kerala. Miya has one sibling, Gini, who is married and settled in Bangalore. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree and continued to study to obtain a master’s degree in English. Miya George and businessman Ashwin Philip got married on September 12, 2020. The couple is the parent of one child, Luca Joseph Philip.

Miya came into the film industry in 2010. Her acting career began with supporting roles in TV serials. The actress made her first debut in the Malayalam industry with the film ‘Oru Small Family’ directed by Rajasenan in 2010. In the future, she appeared in films like Doctor Love and Ee Adutha Kaalathu. The actress played a minor role in both movies, but she gained attention among audiences through her performances.
Miya played leading roles in films such as Chettayees and Navagatharkku Swagatham in 2012.
